Arrival, Trip Briefing & Bike Orientation

Shuttle Service from Cape Town International Airport to your hotel at the V & A Waterfront where we will run through the trip summary, orientation and the necessary paperwork. The rest of the day is to unwind and relax at your leisure.

DAY 1 – 310km tar with a bit of gravel

After a hearty breakfast we head off up The West Coast through The West Coast Nature Reserve, hugging the scenic rugged coastline past Saldanah Bay to Clanwilliam where we will spend the night.

Day 2 – 340km tar with a bit of gravel

We travel via Clanwilliam Dam, Citrusdal, skirting the magnificent Cederberg Reserve through The Franschoek Valley on to Robertson for a famous Klipdrift Brandy Tour. We overnight in Robertson.  

DAY 3– 300km mixture of tar & gravel

Travel the famous Route 62 to Calitzdorp & via The Huisriver & Swartberg Pass & Overnight in the town of Prince Albert.

DAY 4 – Leisure day

Visit Cango Caves, Ostrich Farm and Cheetah Ranch and back to Prince Albert for a relaxing night.

DAY 5 – 330km mixture of tar & gravel

Travel through the scenic Meirings Poort to Willomore and Overnight in Graaff Reinet.

DAY 6 – 100km mostly gravel

Visit Valley of Desolation, travel to Nieu Bethesda and take in the many attractions and Overnight in Nieu Bethesda.

DAY 7 – 340km mixture of tar & gravel

Travel via Graaff Reinett, Sundays River to to the award winning Shamwari Private Game Reserve for evening.

DAY 8 – Day of leisure at Shamwari.

DAY 9 – 270km mostly gravel

We ride from Shamwari via some of the Addo National Elephant Park, Lake Mentz and some awesome mountains and valleys to Steytlerville for a night with a difference.

DAY 10 – 160km gravel

Travel via the Grootriver Gorge, valleys and passes through Willowmore to the World Heritage Site, The Baviaanskloof, with its many diverse species of fauna and flora. We spend the night here in an awesome cave gazing at the stars.

DAY 11 – 260km mostly gravel

We carry on exploring as we exit the Eastern side of The Baviaanskloof ending up along the South Eastern Coastline, to Stormsriver Village for the next two nights.

DAY 12 – Day of Leisure

Activities in Tsitsikamma & Overnight at Stormsriver Village.

DAY 13 – 240km mixture of tar & gravel

Travel up The Garden Route via many scenic mountain and coastal passes & Overnight in Mossel Bay.

DAY 14 – 180km mostly gravel

We continue to hug the rugged Coastline via scenic Coastal Reserves and Rivers and a pontoon river crossing to Malgas for the night.

DAY 15 – 270km mostly gravel

We travel further hugging the rugged coast as we ride through Coastal Reserves, visit Cape Agulhas, the most Southern Point in Africa & Overnight in Hermanus, the whale capitol.

DAY 16 – 220km mostly tar

Travel via Kogelberg Nature Reserve, Rooiels Nature Reserve, Chapmans Peak to Hout Bay where we sit down to an authentic seafood lunch. After lunch we head via Camps Bay to Cape Town and Overnight at Breakwater Lodge at the Waterfront. The rest of the day is to relax and unwind at your leisure.

Enjoy your hearty breakfast where after you will be taken via shuttle to the airport to catch your international departures.
